Were French Essais struck in Paris or at a different mint?

I know that at least some of them were Paris (A) mint. You're talking 300+ years of coinage here so there may not be one all-encompassing answer. Got a particular piece to ask about?

I just checked our database. None of the Essai coins we have sold were from any mint but Paris, FWTW.
