POLL: Coin World's current format?

DentuckDentuck Posts: 3,819 ✭✭✭
It's been about a year and a half since Coin World switched to its current format (the print publication, not the online version). Now that some time has passed, what do you think of it in comparison to the previous format?

I've been getting an email with free access to the online version for about 5 weeks straight now.
I like that version the best!!!

Don't have a strong preference, but as I recently switched to online only, I find the software platform for reading to be very cumbersome and annoying.

Same here. They can use just about any format as long as they keep sending it by email.
  • I voted neutral but I'm not sure that is really the right answer... or the "full" answer...

Never was that thrilled with the mag but did find the original format convenient, as the paper could be shredded to use to line my cat's litter boxes...

The new format does not work for that purpose... and I am still unimpressed by the mag, which really is not a mag...it is more of a "weekly advertiser" (like the ones that get distributed at laundromats and such)... and the advertisers are not all...but predominantly, dealers that should not be allowed to even handle coins let alone sell them...

And their "Coin Values" is a veritable joke, not to be taken seriously...

At the end of the day, I have decided to not renew my subscription after many years... so, frankly, it is of no concern to me what format they use...
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image
  • I receive the paper only. Got ta love that crappy ink! like an old friend.image

I like the format. It's easier to put in a binder for those articles worth saving. Much crisper print, more color. Less likely to be torn to shreds by the time it reaches me.

I like the color. The smaller print in the ads bothers me, but that's probably just old age.....
