<< <i>Cladiator - great pocket piece! I have been working on this as a pocket piece for the last six months or so. I'm amazed that I have not yet lost it.

Cool, I like the almost woodgrain look yours has taken. Mine's almost been lost a handful of times as well lol.
<< <i>Braddick, Superb color 54 quarter -- is it a S mint? What did it grade?? >>
WIN SOME!!!
Loose some. . .

Geeze, looking at stuff like this makes me hesitant to send in anything for certification. It looks pretty obvious to me that the quarter is original mint set toning. Yet another example of why I have very little faith in any plastic these days. Very nice coin though! >>
I would have to disagree. This coin looks AT to me, and I have seen many more with this same toning pattern, neon colors with patchy and spots in the toning. And then the reverse even has the same toning.
I have probably seen 10-15 other washington quarters, roosie dimes, merc. dimes with this same exact toning. NGC says Yes, PCGS says NO. I would have to agree with PCGS on this one. It's my personal opinion that this type of toning was doctored, and by a very good one, but still doctored.
Here's an original '54-s pulled from a mint set. Enjoy.
