I just got a 91-Questionable Color on a 1909 VDB Lincoln cent I've had stashed for about 50 years, since I was a knee-high. Never hardly looked at it, much less colored it. rats. pic shortly.

fyi, the Trueviews showed up..., glad this was my only loose Lincoln.

I too have a very awesome 09 vdb cent that received a BB a few months back and it has some beautiful color, full cartwheel, just a bit of pastel toning. Amazingly sharp and amazingly awesome technically, but oh well. So it stays where it is in a 91 slab!

Try again. We all have stories about BB'd coins finally making it.

Occasionally I've sought counsel from dealers whose opinions I trust. I was pretty sure a gorgeous NGC 65RD '16-D Lincoln I'd cracked and submitted wasn't messed with. After two failed attempts to slab I mailed it to Ira. "Juiced," he said. I sold it on ebay with full disclosure and got a very nice price. Go figure.
