    Congratulations!

Where did you get that '09 S VDB though? The "S" looks a little suspicious, like it might have been added....

Nothing like saving the tough one for last!!!! Congrats!
  • I'm pretty comfortable with it; the diagnostics match up well with the #4 obverse die variety, but I am NOT an authority.

Congratulations! You must be very excited!

    I would be.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • Congrats. Still working on mine.

    Congratulations!

Now you can start upgrading, that should take you another 36 years and ten times the money!

    Congrats on completing the set.

What is the other set you are working on? (ie: Set #2)

Congratulations! Your '09-S VDB is much nicer than mine! I'm jealous.

My first set is all BU & Proof from 1931 to date, including the '09 VDB. No '22 Plain or '55 DDO. My second set is all circulated and missing the '09-S VDB, & '14-D. I finished my first set two years ago. Started in 1976 so you took a few years longer than I to complete yours. What a marathon!

Thanks for the set 2 of 2 link clarification. Interestingly I just bought the '21 and '21 D for my set, but I'm a long way from pullin' the trigger on that '16-D. Congrats!!

    Congrats.

After savoring your accomplishment of completing the Lincoln set, you will look at it and find that you do not like the look of some of the coins. This will become more of an irritation. Finally you will choose to upgrade a coin. It will look so much better than the one it replaced and will look better than other coins in the set. You will upgrade a second coin.

Then, you will have no ability to resist starting on Phase Two, which will be a 36 year project to upgrade every coin in your set.

Its is a sickness for which there is no cure, except your demiseimage

    Have fun with Phase Two.

Congrats! That's quite an accomplishment. Huge series!

I'm afraid I'm going to agree with Paul. The position of the S is wrong. It should be nicely centered between "90" and not underneath the 0. It's too far right. Maybe the coin is tilted in the photo? Here's a PCGS one for reference.

Using the information there with pictures (as well as what has been discussed on these boards) leads me to believe it's genuine, but again, I'm no expert. If anyone else has an opinion one way or the other, please share; I haven't actually paid for it yet imageimage

Excuse me. I didn't know about the fourth obverse die. It looks just like yours.
    Lance.
(edited to add, "Die 4 is by and far the most common of all the dies and is the easiest to attribute." Duh!)
  • Its legit.
