Maybe we can get to see a die crack growing if we post enough images.
Die cracks only. Post 'em up!

<< <i>That last one is actually a linear planchet bubble not a die crack. I have a few and had one confirmed by Billy Crawford >>
I knew that......just want to make sure you are paying attention

....ummmm..... what I didn't say was that I sent it to Billy thinking it WAS a die crack

And I was just kidding. I haven't gotten back to that coin to really look at it. It did not appear to be one, because it was puffed up, and it didn't have the actual raised metal like any crack I've seen.
Still fun to find these things.........

Looks like John Wilkes booth planning the correct bullet angle for that historic day in history..
Follow-up... I have had 2 members pm that my reply was tasteless and not acceptable.. I am sorry if I hurt anyone with the reply... If you would view my icon (SAD) when I viewed the die crack it brought back faint memories of history..
That tragic day when Lincoln was shot.. I live that memory each and everyday because I live only 2 miles from the Dr. that save Wilkes Booth life.. To have a die crack like that released on our coinage by the U.S. Mint is ludicrous in my opinion and my offering was just meant to offer the exact reference to where lincoln was shot in the head within the die crack.. SO again sorry fellows, I didn't mean any harm.. Twisting and viewing ones response other than what it meant or compared to could be a problem.. George
