    This is worry some! Since when counterfeits become collectible? Perhaps, we shouldn't blame the Chinese 'cause it is simply supply and demand!!!

    Since when counterfeits become collectible?

    In my view, contemporary counterfeits are as important as the real thing, but rarely as valuable. They are just as much part of monetary history as the real coins.

    Here's one I didn't buy. I believe the obverse die is the same as on the one I bought. It's interesting that this one is so much more worn than the 1825. I wonder if the 1825 couldn't be passed because of its anachronistic date.
