as far as 1914's go, most if not all have stains from the caramel and i have never seen a ST qualifier..

if you see a 1914 without stains i would be careful..they should have stains as they only came from within the box, as 1915's came from factory also, many 1915 do not have stains...

if the stain is caramel its not given ST, if it something else, it may but stil you dont see them often...

While you may not get a ST qualifier the card will be net graded down for the stain.

In other words an otherwise PSA 6 may grade a 4.

    An 8 may get a 6.

Of course it all depends on the severity of the Stain.

I have had multiple 1948 Leaf cards graded that all have a slight stain on them and every one of them has been graded a 4. Without the stains, I would say they could grade 6 or possibly 7.

Like others said, the 1914 E145-1 (144 picture series) will usually have some staining. If the cards do not have staining and are very bright then in many cases they were bleached in the 1980s (very common practice back then). Light staining is good IMO as it shows the card wasnt tampered with (bleached).

1915 E145-2 (176 picture series) many have no stains because they were often obtained as a complete set and never made it to the Cracker Jack box.

Sets that are known to have product stains usually dont get hit as hard as sets not known with product stains.
