1858 LL Flying Eagle Variety? Rick, Can you help?

Can anyone tell me if this is a known variety? There is doubling on the obverse letters 'States Of America' (PCGS AU55)

Looks like an extreme case of strike doubling to me... very cool, though, and a nice coin.

To me it looks like the remnants of a 7 under the eight (inside the top loop of the 8 and above it). Perhaps just wishful thinking???
