US coin set ..what is it though ?

Greetings one and all , i was given some coins yesterday , among them is a set of coins in a sort of blister pack , cellophane with a red border top and bottem.Theres a 1c , 5c , 10c,25c,50c and 2 susan b dollars , a d mint and an s mint , all 1980.
I first thought its maybe a littleton coin set but theres no writing on the cellophane at all , nothing to indicate where it orginated.Wouldnt a mint set say so on it ? I checked ebay and it doesnt look like any other 1980 mint set.
Ill post a pic soon with a different question concerning one of the dollars , i was thinking one of you will know what this is just by description, thanks

  • It's a 1980 D & S mint set issued by the US Mint, the blue trimmed are from Philadelphia plain no mint mark.

I think this is correct also, you have one of the two packs that make up the complete mint set.

  • Thank you Cone10 , all the sets i seen were in a kind of presentation deal velveteen card , ill try to get a pic of one of the dollars when im sure of what im seeing. It looks like a deep scratch right across the obverse yet the cellophane doesnt appear damaged or pierced in any way,its within the blister pack.Ill need to see it many times magnified before im sure , ill do that this evening , thanks again for the reply, its a d mint set..cool

Yep , the oldest continious brewery in the US , they continued brewing right through prohibition , the story is they brewed root beer during prohibition , believe that if you like. Its somewhat amusing comparing homebrew to Yuenglings , thanks for the hearty guffaw this morning.
