Nailed this image- awesome proof Lincoln toner

Now, if I could just figure out how to keep the #$%^& cat hair off the holder!

I picked up several sets the other day, all with Lincolns that look like this. They are still in the original holders! The other coins in the set are fogged around the edges- definitely stored in a bad (or good, depending on how you look at it) environment for a long time.

    great pic.......image
  • Very nice. Do you think it will go cameo? Kind of hard to tell in the pictures with the toning and the haze.

I don't think it will. I do think I'm going to include one in my next PCGS economy submission, just to see how it does... (PR-66 RB is my prediction)

    Thanks for the compliments!

Nice copper. If the coins are still sealed, what about a piece of dryer sheet to keep the static down so not to attract hair? and your coins come out smelling fresh... (figured I'd throw that in before someone else did)

  • Nice Lincoln...I have broke one 1970 proof set myself - and take this photo at night with normal lights..but would love to have one more "trueview" photo like yours..

Nice! Do you think 66 even with the marks on the shoulder? How does one keep cat hair off PCGS submissions when the static electricity on a flip can draw it from the next room?
  • cmerlo1cmerlo1 Posts: 7,920 ✭✭✭✭✭
I'll have to have another look at it and those marks. I do have 2 more, so I'll pick the best one to submit- I don't see any of them going higher than 66RB. I'm thinking about making the office a 'cat-free zone'. One ofthem will be really disappointed, as she likes to be in my lap while I'm on the computer.
