Is anyone going to the Fans Edge Sports Spectacular? They have been advertising the heck out of it on TV. If anyone goes I would love to get some feedback on it.

    On Friday, they are having a discounted rate on a lot of the guests autographs. One of the board members is getting me several rookies signed on Friday. Sounds like a neat show.

    I attended the show tonight, admission was free for everybody and they gave out 200 tickets at random for a free Pete Rose autograph which I was fortunate enough to win. Pete was in a great mood and was especially freindly with the kids.

    The dealer turnout was still lower than the shows that are held here in March and November. I'm sure the upcoming National Convention had a little to do with it. Friday should be a great turnout with discounted prices on all autographs with plenty of big names. There will also be 200 free Dick Butkus autographs on Saturday and 200 for Gale Sayers on Sunday. The organizers really went all out to make this show appealing for the fan!

    I was there today and with the exception of the autograph area the show was dead. Poor selection compared to most shows there but I think they made it too close to The National.
