Best Ebay Sniping Software

Any recommendations for the best Ebay sniper software available? Any good or bad experiences with a specific program? Just trying to gather some information. Thanks.

I used auctionsniper for years but got tired of paying 1%. I now use gixen.com.

I used to use auction sniper, but it failed me two or three times due to their server issues or some other excuse. I have used auctionstealer.com for the last year and a half or more, not one failure.

Auction Sentry Deluxe here. No problems at all, I think it is about $12.00 for a year's worth of service ( no other commissions, just a once a year charge), and I have never noticed it not put in a bid. I place my bid with 3 seconds to go, you could do less, but that works for me.

Edited to add, as a bonus, they give you a free trial for a week or two when you first download it to try it out.

Evidently, PhantomBidder has 3 or 4 different servers which all fire out snipes simultaneously, so it's very unlikely to fail. I bid on a LOT of stuff (thousands of items per year) and so far it has worked for me 100% of the time.

It's pretty cheap, too... right now I'm on the unlimited bids for $90/year plan, but you could also purchase individual bid credits at 40¢ to 60¢ per snipe (flat rate) depending on how much bidding you plan on doing. Plus they only charge you for the auctions you actually win. Definitely a good deal, IMHO.

I just went to their pay service for $9/month with unlimited snipes and can adjust bid times - mine is at 7 seconds

Powersnipe has never failed me. I highly recommend it.

They're all very simple tools and I can't imagine any of them doesn't do the job fine.

I use Auctionsniper. Have never had a problem. I have my snipe set @ 3 seconds. The 1% fee hurts sometimes but eBay bucks takes care of that now

Another vote for auctionstealer -- wonderful when you don't have time to be there yourself. It's not a program, but rather a service website. Ricko's "by hand" method is fine, but what if an auction's ending at say, 9:30 PM but you've got dinner plans? Etc.

If yer only bidding 2-3 x a month, whats the need for a sniping program. Why don't you just bid?

Sniping programs only get you the lowest possible price up to your maximum. If someone else has a higher maximum, you lose anyway!

The program I use is located just beyond the last knuckle of my right hand! I enter my maximum using my IGHI (I Gotta Have It) program and then engage the AS (Auction Sniper) program. If the amount I entered in the IGHI is large enough, my AS program never fails! Never!

If the auction ends at an odd hour, then I engage my IRGHI program (I Really Gotta Have It) which enables me to use my AS program. Sometime the IRGHI program doesn't seem to work as it gets overridden by my ISWTWI (I Simply Wanted To Win It) program which can be affected by my IDRC program (I Didn't Really Care)! I hate it when that happens because it always fires up my YI (You Idiot) program which then bolsters my IGHI program to enter larger and sometime ridiculous amounts for my AS program.

Its a vicious circle I tell ya!


But its free.

Costs about 15 cents a snipe and have never had a problem. You can also setup groups so if you want one item and there are 15 available, it will win the first one that meets your bidding requirements and cancel the rest. I thought that was pretty slick.

I think you have to purchase a block of 25 snipes or something, don't know haven't had to upload money in a while.

I enter max bid on one and ready it to send... on the other, I continue to refresh every few seconds to ensure the safety of my bid (usually no danger, since when I really want an item, I enter a 'nuclear' bid). Then, as time winds down, I hit send with two to three seconds left. I ALWAYS win items I want. Plus, I do not have to pay a sniping service. Cheers, RickO

Carefull with those "Nuclear bids".

I have seen some pretty crazy prices when two place "Nuclear Bids" !!
