Opinion on ANACS vs PCGS for 2009 Lincoln Formative DDRs

So most of us know that PCGS/NGC will either not attribute the new 2009 Formative DDRs or will do so weeks/months down the road and ANACS will attribute and grade. But I would like some opinions on is what you think of having PCGS grade the cents with no attribution vs ANACS grading and the attribution? Sure it is nice to get that attribution on the label, but I don't know about all of you, but I would rather have them with PCGS with all else being equal. I am not sure right now of the point of sending them to ANACS just to get the attribution on the label. Sure it is nice to personally see the attribution on the label and can help if reselling, but the CDDO-001, CDDO-002, and CDDO-009 are not hard to attribute. Thoughts?

I just sent a CDDR-002 into PCGS on last quarters quarterly special. It graded MS66RD (they have not graded any higher) and there is no attribution on the label. Maybe someday if PCGS decides to recognize I will send it back in for attribution.

I have some WDDR-013's at PCGS currently. That DDR(Massive die crack) is the biggest no-brainer of them all! I'd rather have 'em in PCGS plastic than in ANACS. Haven't followed eBay for any unattributed errors in PCGS plastic but if you have them in PCGS plastic along with good pics you'll do fine imho. You won't see any inflated grades in PCGS plastic either. PCGS is murder on 2009 Lincolns. No MS67's given yet and many including myself have searched multiple thousands to no avail yet........

My MS67's are beautiful coins and are completely worthy of the 67 grade. I understand how everyone eels about PCGS grading but if they are not going to do it, then move on to who will. ANACS has been very tough on grading these and I looked through a lot of coins to come up with my best to be graded.

Guess I opened a can of worms and for that I'm sorry. I think its a moot point since the anacs attributed ddrs have gone for far more money than the ngc graded ones without attribution (but noted in sellers title!!). Havent seen many pcgs but seem to remember them coming up a little short too. Without the attribution they will not go for as much.

I sent in 100 of them all errors but no attribution on the label. I'am ok with it just hope every one is O.K with it. If you know what I am saying. image

Edit to add: Seeing the prices that some are geting on ANACS I'll would have sent them to ANACS to get it on the lable I sold one PCGS and only got 25.00 fotr it
and see ANACS geting more then PCGS does not look GOOD when PCGS is #1 in my book this SUCKS.

I think retail people want it on the holder with attribution. Strange but true. VAM collectors dont care but the average collector has to know its what they are buying since they might not even own a loupe! Saw a nGC 66 ddr 01 or 02 go for under $20 a few weeks ago.

Might get better when the promotion guys ramp these up. I keep hearing rumblings. Word is it might be 3-4 weeks out before they have a large enough group to promo. Everyone acts like its a big secret who. Strange I can usually get the "who" out of somebody, but in this case its "they". Hmm guess I should hit ana maybe.

I might hold yours for a few since with grading fees in the ones you have, what have ya got to lose?

And how much did you pay per coin to not have them sell for as much as an Anacs coin of the same grade? Makes one think that PCGS is kinda letting their customers/followers down huh?.

Pitboss I am 100% behind you on this, my ms67 looks like a ms67 and if by some chance I had to cross it over to a PCGS slab it better make ms67. If not then I would question PCGS on anything, I would rather have mine in PCGS plastic but one must look out for oneself when it comes to the wallet. If and when PCGS comes around I will only think about sending them some of my money after their failure to jump on these while the iron is hot.
