Thanks Steve - really cool coin. Not rare or anything (o112 I believe), but I love 23s because they are often so quirky.
Double prof is certainly something fun.

Here are the images I lifted from the previous owner.

Excellent, glad STMAN could find a good home and this coin could stay local. Here is another look with different lighting. image

Great coin, it was already sold when I saw the listing, otherwise I would have purchased it.
Would have looked great in my Dansco set of VF-EF halves

Beautiful coin.....did you pay a premium because of the bean?

Nope, don't really care about the bean. I paid because I have purchased from Steve a few times in the past and every coin is beyond great. He may have the best eye for old crust of anyone I've ever known.

You are lucky to find an XF Bustie in a PCGS holder. I agree with you when you say 1823 CBHs have a lot of extras that make them interesting. In all the years I have collected CBHs, I still need four of the 13 marriages, although two marriages are rare enough that I will never own them.

For those not familiar with the 1823s, we have the Broken 3, which became the Patched 3 mated to two different reverses, the Perfect 3 became the Ugly 3, and the Extra Tall 3.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

On the other hand, you can sell those two 23s to me.

BTW stman, I certainly enjoy dealing with you as well. Can't complain when you email someone about a coin you want on Monday the 14th and have it in hand on Tuesday the 15th. image
