Im trying to build up a library on Gold Dollars, and so far have QDBs book, David Akers 1975 book, Breens 1964 monograph, Doug Winters Charlotte and Dahlonega mint books are in transit................any other ideas other than a large general reference tome on Coins?

Wouldnt mind finding copies of the Bass sale catalogs, but dont know where to look for that.

Bass catalog is a good idea, i'm also thinking Amon Carter's estate had a good showing of these......i have that catalog somewhere and i'll look......Also, older Kagin's catalogs would be useful

check with Bryce (PreTurb) or maybe Karl (firstmint)........regular literature auctions are held by both Kolbe and Fanning as well

    good luck!

One idea would be to get John Adams literature book and collect all the listed "A" rated gold auction catalogs. You could borrow the book from the ANA library if you don't want to get hooked buying literature about literatureimage
