Should you say YES or NO if you did? or just say not much.

coin but if it's something they don't know about I'll show them how
to spot it.
Education really is better than profit and might be more profitable in
the long run. It's just rude to let somebody know he "left a lot of mon-
ey on the table".

<< <i>I sold a number of original BU lincoln cent rolls to Swampboy on the forum a few years ago. Sometime later, I saw him posting some high grade cents for sale in slabs, so I asked if they came from me, and he said yes, and that he had also scored some top pops or near top pops on a few he was keeping for himself. I said "good for you, glad it worked out and that you were able to find something". I did not have the patience or skill to go through these, searching for high end pieces to submit, and the 'spoils' went to one who did, deservedly so. >>
I take the time to describe the variety, and point out the attributes to them. I'll tell them why I wanted it in my collection.
They seem to enjoy my finding something I want in their stock, and I've never had a dealer sore because I bought a better variety at the price of a common coin.

Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
Better him than an anonymous wholesale dealer who won't care.

<< <i>Huh? Why would anybody say yes??? The obvious answer is "no." >>
Why lie? If the man asks a civil question, it deserves a civil, and honest, answer. You don't have to give the find back.

I don't think it's a lie. What one guy thinks is good another guy thinks is garbage. Secondly, why would I want that dealer eyeing me like a hawk every time I'm in his shop looking at coins? I want him to continue not paying attention to what he's selling in rolls.
This is all moot as I don't buy rolls anyway
I knew it would happen.
