OT: Anyone have a Canon CanoScan LiDE 90 scanner ?

I love this scanner and software, but it is not picking up on graded cards. Is there any way to adjust the settings so it will scan objects that are not flush with the scanner surface?

we have these at my school - I have also been unable to get a good scan - I can make the scan look acceptable with photoshop... see my ttm thread.

Are they BGS slabs? Alot of scanners have a tough time with those.

I think you're out of luck with that model.

It uses a contact image sensor (CIS) as it's scanning element, which means that it's going to scan what's touching the glass.

You'd need a scanner with a CCD (charged-coupled device) if you want clear scans of cards in slabs.

It does pretty good with PSA slabs, but BGS is lesser quality. That scanner does a great job with raw cards and the software that does the automatic croping and saving of multiple cards in one pass is great. Thanks for the input as always guys.
