I dont know if one person, IMO, has all-power in numismatics. I think that there are specialists in every discipline who, collectively, could be considered as having power.

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free
Harvey Stack was the most influential proponent of the State Commemorative quarter series. I would expect that his influence indirectly was responsible for the addition of 30 million plus new collectors entering the hobby in the past decade.
