    Prince Fielder is my pick.

Fielder is tempting, I'd like to see him win as much as anyone involved - but it will be tough to go against Pujols with all those STL fans rooting him on.

I am going for Fielder. For every HR he hits the $27 Loge bleechers get a buck off until they are free. It is for a three game stint.

Ryan Howard - I bet my pet cat to try to pick up 2.75 cats.

Please tell me Chris Berman isn't announcing this.

What with his exaggerated excitement, and "back....back....back..." calls, it is all getting very tiresome.

I'll take that action -you can have my wifes cats if you win, the fat one weighs like 26 pounds, so he's gotta be worth 1.75 cats.

hell, you can have the cats even if you loseimage

    Dear Mr. Pujols,

I want to wish you the best of luck in tonight's derby. Just think, hitting bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb in front of your hometown crowd. What an amazing feeling that would be. In fact, every baseball fan in the world, nay universe would think that you're the greatest thing since sliced bread if you obliterate every record for every round. Hamilton's 28 should be a cake walk for you, my friend.

Just remember to make it count everytime you swing, so swing your mightiest each and every time. This will make or break your career FOR EVER AND EVER!

    Do it for your fans.

Do it for the home town.

Do it for the Dominican Republic.

And most importantly, do it for the children.

    Thanks in advance!

    Barry

It's hard to pick against Pujols or Fielder, but my gut is telling me Adrian Gonzalez for some reason.

Aren't those all the participants listed? If so, how can there be a field
bet +100? Anyways, gotta go with Pujols.

I though that was odd as well - I should take it just to see what happens. Mauer just went from +850 to +500 - big drop, wonder if someone knows something the rest of us don't?

I believe the field is anyone other than the favorite (Pujols).

I wonder who will exhaust/damage their swing for the 2nd half this year.

i'd love to see adrian g. win. put him on a decent team with some protection and his numbers this year would be off the charts.

It was 2004 and not at all.

    Today, it's 2009 and we're only 3.5 games back.

Go Big Al!! Swing until you can't swing no more!!

And I actually went to games 1 and 2 at Fenway that year... Craziest coincidences ever and having a back line phone number for tickets.

    But I'm not still bitter..

Good showing by Ryan. Pujols needed a fan to reach out and bring one in just to tie in the second round. Fielder v Cruz....just what MLB wanted at the end.

Yes it was - watching it from beginning to end was the equivilent of watching the NFL Hawaii Pro bowl game.
I should've watched how they made tanks from WWI era instead!

That actually would have been really cool to see. When tanks were first intruduced on the WW1 battlefields, enemy troops would turn and run out of sheer terror not knowing what those huge things were.

The reason they call them 'tanks' is because the Allies wanted the Germans to think they were for water.

    Good for you.

They really need to change the format. I hate watching 5 pitches lobbed right down the middle and not swung at. Put an ump back there. If it is a strike, and you take, it is an out...

I'm impressed Albert even finished 4th. He just came off a doubleheader in Chicago, got back in town around 3am, had to get up early for interviews on about 3 hours' sleep, endured this circus and he still made a decent showing. I've liked him ever since he was a Peoria Chief.
