I have a few Lincoln cents that have some scotch tape residue and a few pieces of tape still on them. How can you get it off? I know acetone is a no no.
Thanks

Acetone or GooGone will both work fine.

I thought acetone will discolor copper.

A grinding wheel, or a light scrub with a brillo pad.

Nope, it's pretty safe on copper.

Tried acetone and it seemed to have kept it's color. It was a circulated piece.

Acetone or GooGone, like Robb said.
If the tape's been on there long enough, though, there isn't much you can do. You'll have a different-colored stripe on the coin.
