Looks risky...why would someone keep real gold coins mixed in with junk silver??
All coins kept in bank vaults.
    PCGS Registries
    Box of 20
    SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!
  • Notice if you speed read the auction he states "due to poor eyesight" he cant read who signed the sketches and paintings. He seems to see the dates on coins which are far smaller ok though!!

A lot of Ebay sellers used to mix lots of jewelry pottery coins & artwork. The artwork is invariably certified by someone who cannot be found after the auction and the Multi thousand dollar paintings are crappy forgeries. The jewelry is valued by a gun for hire usually.

Fishing expedition that will be shilled to the max!

Casting a nice lure. Not picturing all the coins, the bulk of the hundred pounds will most likely be Lincolns.

When everything that is "included" in the listing is not pictured that is normally a red flag.

<< <i>two old $5 gold coins. One is dated 1882-S while the other is 1901-S. Those coins along with whatever other gold coins are mixed in are all solid, problem-free gold and altogether most likely about an ounce or two in gold bullion if you decided to melt it but that's just an estimate with no guarantees >>

A lot of this is very vague, perhaps intentionally. You would think at the very least, he would take the time to figure out how much gold bullion is actually in the lot. After all, an "ounce or two" is at least a $900.00 difference in value.

That big pile of 2x2's is probably all junk common wheats, and just the thought of having to disassemble all of those seems like a daunting task to me.

All things considered, this lot will most likely end up selling for way more than what it's actually worth anyway, so I'll pass.

Personally, I like to know exactly what I'm getting for my money. You'd be better off buying a lottery ticket.

This should tell you everything you need to know about this seller:

    detailed seller feedback

Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
