"Has anyone here ever sent in several NT coins, and one or two AT coins to test the graders at any of the 'Big"3?"
Ethics plays into this somehow.
Personally if I think a coin that I end up with is AT I dip the snot out of it and turn it into junk silver. This has happened twice that I can remember.

No, but I sent in the same coin multiple times. It got bagged about half the time for color and graded about half the time. That should tell you something.
Well not really. But, I have seen coins that were cracked out of PCGS 67 holders and sent to NGC looking for possible upgrades. When they came back from NGC in the same 67 grade, they were sent back to PCGS to get them back into their original holders on crossovers. Guess what? PCGS would not put them back into 67 holders even though they were holdered 67 from them to begin with. This I have seen repeated time time and time again. Same thing between PSA and SGC in sportscards..............Yes, I think cross over attempts are the biggest waste of money. Sorry OP, if I strayed of topic a little, but I was waiting for a semi suitable thread to get this off my chest : ).................MJ

its not a good idea to send AT with NT stuff when trying to do an experiment. If they catch the AT stuff, they'll be VERY suspicious of the NT stuff actually being AT. You'll get an order full of bodybags regardless of how much really is NT.
Each and every time I have ever submitted coins to PCGS or NGC I am testing the company. I grade my coins prior to my submission and then see how PCGS or NGC grade the coins. They are not always correct, but they try.

to be statistically valid. I would estimate if one sent in a large batch
of MS-65 coins crack outs, they would come back 75% MS- 65, 5% MS-66
and 19% MS-64 and 1% BB. Of course this will vary if one chooses a period of tight grading,
or if one selects PQ 65++ specimens to send in. Thus, a coin can vary from one point
lower to 1 point higher then the origonal grade for a total range of iup to 2 points.
