I would pass on that coin.

    What ever the reason, It

    appears to have been worked

on and turned in the holder.

No way it's a DCAM with that reverse.

I say yes. It's been frosted.

No that's haze, which is one of the reasons I don't collect proofs.

I think it's just haze, too....and in this case the blue tint is a result of haze+lighting+angle of the pic.

No chance that quarter has been frosted.

    The haze is typical.

    It will come off.

Is it a DCAM, well that's another story.

  • I agree with segoja 100%. Typical haze, natural and will dip off.

Obverse looks DCAM, reverse maybe not.

The obverse is killer for a 66. Reverse is weak.

Frost looks OK to me. The coin, however looks like it has been dipped before, and now requires another one to get rid of the spotchy hazing.

    I also agree - 100%.

If it were messed with in an attempt to artificially frost it, the devices would look more hazy and blue.

I don't really think so but the only way to be sure is to buy it and send it back to PCGS!

Thay way, if it had been messed with, you'll have done your numismatic duty and if it hadn't been messed with, well you'd just be out about $25 plus the coin cost.
