ANA Summer seminar

I just want to give the ANA a shout out on a job well done regarding the Summer Seminar. While I was only there for three days I was blown away by what I learned and by the passion and dedication of the instructors as well as fellow collectors. In the classic commem's class there was a "who's who" of the top registry set builders in the class and it was instructed by Larry Shepherd. He is the Yoda of commems and a great mentor. Larry did a MARVELOUS job. I felt like this injection of education gave me a huge boost of knowledge in a short period time. On top of that the class participation was outstanding. Nobody wanted it to end and actually we took it into overtime.

Colorado Springs maybe one of the most beautiful places in the States and the college campus is as nice as any. The museum was a special treat for me as they had a Civil War themed presentation as well as one of the most outstanding classic commem collections ever assembled on display ( J & L). Both passions of mine.

I strongly encourage anyone to make the trip next year and I can't wait to go back. You can take mini two day sessions or full week sessions at the two week event. Colorado Springs is actually VERY easy to get in out of and there is a lot of direct flights. This was my first ANA............and I made a lot of new friends.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
