    The 1908 Looks at least AU to Brown UNC. Appears to have some obverse rim damage.

    Looks like the 1885 Indian & the Booker T. Washington he sold in June may have been great buys.

    I think the "rim damage" is most likely where the celophane in the 2X2 is crinkled and distorting the image.

    Yes, hopefully it's just the distorted effect you sometimes see with wrinkled Mylar.

    At the Summer FUN show today, I bought two walkers from a dealer who mainly specialized in foreign and ancients....he had the 18D graded F, and the 29S graded VF. THe 18D was XF40 but cleaned, the 29S XF45.....and since he was trying to get rid of his US material, he offered substantial discounts to take these ($40 for the PAIR) and few other items off his hands image
