I bought a 2006 wrangler sport yesterday for $6000. Kelly blue book says $14K, drove it back 300 uneventful miles. I think there's profit to be made if I decide to flip it.
Bought a raw 1974 Michael Jackson POP Star card for $4.00. Purely for the fun of it and got it graded during a special. Came back as a PSA 8.
With the unfortunate passing of Michael, timing was perfect and I sold it on ebay for nearly $80.00 just a few nights ago. I know I could of gotten more with a BIN option, but I am happy and so is the lucky buyer.
There's good bargains everywhere, buy you do have to do your homework and BE SELECTIVE and also have some fun.
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Not sports related-- but brings back childhood memories from the early 60's, i picked up a bunch of these at an antique show over the weekend while looking for cards.
I was pretty happy with picking up thirteen PSA 8 cards and four PSA 8.5 cards for my 1976 Topps baseball set this week.... for an average of two bucks per card delivered.
I was so happy with the deal that I didn't even raise a stink when the $1.30 insurance charge- which was listed as 'optional' in all the auctions- was flagged as a mandatory charge when it was time to pay. I would never in a million years opt for postal insurance on a $33 purchase, but whatever. Two bucks a card!!!
'Sir, I realize it's been difficult for you to sleep at night without your EX/MT 1977 Topps Tom Seaver, but I swear to you that you'll get it safe and sound.' -CDs Nuts, 1/20/14
I too bought a lot of 25 PSA 8 cards for my 1973 Topps baseball set for $2.68 a card. I too am pretty stoked since I can't grade my raw ones for that. Up the old Registry ladder we go!!!
Several years ago I bought a partial 66 set for about $500. The Palmer and Rose graded 8. I sent them in for review under the May special-Palmer is now a 9 and Rose is an 8.5.
I should be saying All Star game tickets, but we opted to wait until it hits Kansas City and instead picked up a male ridgeback pup to go with our female. This is Hunter at 9 weeks old.

You have to account for how many balls the locals steal after you hit your tee shot.
This happened 3 times to us last summer in 1 round. Hit your tee shot and some kid runs across the fairway, grabs it and he gone.
Note to anybody who plays there. Never leave your bag unattended and don't pick up the needles under the trees.
