Good for you, Dennis. It is definitely 'solid for the assigned grade' - or whatever the green bean means....

Congrats. Even for a Fair-2, that coin is a looker. I have seen some nasty AG-3's not as nice.
Good eye and I am sure it is well worth the price paid.

I wonder if this coin caused a bit of chuckling in the grading,er, "verifying" room?

Considering that its worth more than a lot of what they see, I doubt they laughed/chuckled much.image

that thing better not have been holding up my quarterly special submission, what with all the graders standing around snickering at your coin!

    good score image

I agree it's solid for the grade. Not a great upgrade candidate for a PO-01 image

I believe that Hayden was referring to the CAC verifiers and not the PCGS guys. PCGS sees lots of of low grade stuff.

Why would someone pay to have a low grade coin stickered? I doubt it adds anything to the coins value.

Answer #1: Twisted sense of humor.
Answer #2: AG03s in PCGS holders typically go for about $700 in Heritage auctions lately. Fair-02s bring about $475. I have no doubt that when it comes time to sell I'll get back my $10 CAC fee (and then some).

Of course, the question now begs to be asked:

Has CAC given out any stickers for PO-01 coins?

    My lowest is VG10 on a 96-S 25c.

Sometimes it has nothing to do with adding value...value is not always in dollars....

I have seen plenty of AG-3's in G-4 holders. This one is at least solid for the grade and is probably high end.
