I know no one collects S-mint gold, but excessively original gold is very appealing...

I was taking a look at a leading dealer's website, and I came across this coin. It is not mine and I have no ownership interest in the coin. Whenever someone mentions S-mint gold, it is met with sneers and guffaws, as we say that "real" gold collectors only collect C, D, or CC gold.

However, to Longacre's eye, the coin below is excessively appealing, and totally original coins are getting fewer and farther between. There is no question posed in this thread , but I just wanted to post a coin that is appealing, and one that is not scrubbed, processed, puttied, lasered, nose oiled, thumbed, dipped, resurfaced, or sonic-ed.

Are you serious? I consider myself a "real" gold collector, and mostly own P mint gold coins. Anyways, very nice coin you posted! :-)

So the question implied in this thread is this...does Longacre have any "S" mint gold? I'm sure we would have to speak with his assistant... since he doesn't have the time to keep track of such menial things.
