Help needed on 1981-82 Topps Basketball Vending Boxes

Does anyone have any info on how the 1981-82 Topps Basketball vending boxes were set up? Were different boxes all one region, was a box a mix of national cards plus one region, or were all 198 cards available in each box? I just picked up some GAI graded boxes that I don't want to bust without knowing what the layout of the boxes are.

I appreciate any info anyone can provide.
