I saw this inauguration medal about 2 1/2 inches diameter wide.

How do I tell if it is the original one issued by the US Mint.

If it is the original how much are they worth.

If they are Franklin Mint or other later issues how much are they worth?

There's a bronze one on eBay now with a BIN of $20 + $5 shipping. If you're patient you should be able to get one for $10-$15 eventually. A silver one sold recently for a bit over $70, which is typical.

Some inaugural medals are worth astounding amounts. I know someone who purchased a Coolidge medal in a bulk lot and now thinks he can get $20,000. That might be optimistic but it's not impossible. Others are worth even more. As a rule of thumb the last bronze ones worth more than $20 or so were from Truman, and the last silver ones worth more than spot were form Eisenhower.
