Went to a minor league baseball game for the 4th of July

The Lansing Lugnuts (Class A Blue Jays team) vs the South Bend Silver Hawks. A nice crowd of around 11,000
and fireworks afterward made for a great evening. Seeing baseball in person is so much better than watching
it on TV.

Me too, Beloit Snappers (Twins Class A) at Peoria Chiefs (Cubs Class A). Same league to boot. We had 6,600 fans including the Chief's 5,000,000th fan since they started as the Sune in 1983 for the Angels. Tickets were only $5 and we sat third row from the field down the third base side. Great night for baseball and fireworks even though we had one of those rare occurances where we had to wear sweatshirts and jackets in the middle of the summer.

We attend the Silver Hawk games about twice a month. The stadium is outstanding and we have always had a good time. The local merchants are good about giving out tickets at no cost. It used to be the South Bend White Sox and do to the proximity was a lot more interesting to go to. Now its a Diamonback class A team ergo not so interesting. Glad to hear others enjoy minor league games too.
