Maybe a clogged letter in the die.

  • Will this clogged letter lower the value of this coin?

It's a die fill error and on ebay the value is higher

Grease in the die clogged the letter S.

It's very common on shield nickels. On a high grade coin, it would lower the value because it lowers the eye appeal. On your coin I'd say it has no impact on value up or down.
