What percentage of MS66RD Lincolns would upgrade?

So I have accumulated a few hundred mostly common date Lincoln Wheats, all are of course PCGS and the vast majority are MS66RD (many are just 1 point away from that ridiculously huge price jump). I have always sucked at grading MS coins of all types, but I have done comparisons to my MS67 Wheats, and truthfully it looks like essentially all of the ones I have have more blemishes than the few 67's I own. But once again, I am terrible at grading MS coins of any type. So, what kind of luck might I have if I sent in say 300 of them in hopes of upgrade? I have never submitted coins to any company actually, so I was wondering is this more of a matter of luck or do I really stand a chance at hitting that $8,000 upgrade?

just about zero. If you think your 66 looks like a 69, then it may be a 67. a slim chance at that.

You're better off to send what you think is the best of them and see what happens.

If PCGS did their job properly, none.

They don't give away those -67's, thats why they are so special, thats a tough tough grade to achieve.

Timing is everything, now might not be the best time. Might need to wait for the next up cycle.

I have 40 66s and 3 67s (PCGS) in my collection of Wheat cents.
I consider one of my 66s the equal to the 3-67s and I hope to post it again after I get a professonal image taken.
I figure to try to upgrade it at least once just for the experience of it.

So, for discussion sake, I'll toss out 3%. image

    hello, commoncents123
......i'm just curious and want to ask you a question. you say that you have many many common dated slabbed coins. did you send off coins to PCGS to get slabbed or did you buy the coins already slabbed? if you sent them in to be slabbed, and they are common, wasn't that a tad expensive? like i said i'm just curious and of course it is YOUR money. image

If you ever attend major shows, you might take a couple boxes of the best coins and show them to David Hall. He
would probably be able to assess which ones might have a shot. You might also ask some of the copper dealers
    for their opinions.

If they were mine i would spend time and pick the top 10 and see what happens. I would also throw in 3 or so that you know are not 67's to break up the coins. To me it is a crap shoot sending slabbed coins in for upgrades and sucicide to crack them. You may end up with 65's
