Did you buy it for the original CaC sticker ? If so, I would highly advise against having it removed for any reason. This could take away from the originality of the coin.

It's also getting so silly.

If you send the coin to PCGS for reholder & TrueView, you will of course lose the sticker. But CAC will re-sticker it based on the cert # and grade still being the same.
If you send the coin to PCGS for regrade & TrueView, then you will end up with a different cert #, and even if the coin does not upgrade, you have lost the CAC sticker. You will have to resubmit the coin to CAC for review.
If you're really lucky, you submit a CAC coin to PCGS for regrade & TrueView, and it upgrades. Then you submit the coin to CAC and get the sticker at the new higher grade !! ... but I have had only one of those.
If you buy a coin with a sticker and want the coin photographed, simply crack it out and shoot it with a cheap digital camera from WalMart. This will allow you to touch and feel the coin. Then you can say you knew what it really felt and looked like without all the plastic and glue around it. It could be a picture "True View" photo of the coin in the plastic. One never knows until it's cracked out and weighed. I know I sound silly sometimes , but let's get this aired out for a moment and objectively devour this food for thought.
I got suckered into another "What if" thread. How silly of me.
Some of the responses here are really funny. The unfunny part is all the banana heads that will do all of the above.
Double shipping (for the slab and the football) which includes quadruple shipping charges, quadruple insurance fees, cost of the postal packaging, cost of the pics, time involved and oh yeah...we haven't discussed the fees charged by all the third parties that want a percentage of your coins value just because they have convinced some people ( OK a lot of people...) that the coin is really worth much less if not given their nod of approval which includes labels, footballs, plastic etc.

Funny but sad.
All just my rambling thoughts of course >>
There are a few coins that might be worth the aggravation, but I know I don't own any.
Bajj; What if Kung Fu had nothing to do with sex, and stickers had nothing to do with money ? Would anyone be screwed any more than they are now ? That's rhetorical because it's a "WHAT IF" type question.
Don't bajjer the respondent, bajjer the wittiness.

Nice! Congrats >>
Sounds like a coin that wasn't quite solid for the gold sticker.

<< <i>Why would one have to peel off the sticker? PCGS images the coin raw. >>
I should have explained it more clearly. What I meant is if you submit it for trueview you lose the sticker.
<< <i>submit the coin for reholder and trueview, then resubmit to CAC, no problems >>
Since CAC keeps track of cert numbers, it should be no problem.

<< <i>And we haven't even addressed how to package the coin to ship it to PCGS. >>
Use lots of tape and staples
Anyway, you could remove it before you send it to PCGS and hold it until it comes back (no?).

<< <i>Send the coin to Mark Goodman instead. You get an image just as good or better, and you don't have to crack the coin out. >>
I have and will again. I like to get both images on coins I really like.

<< <i>That's a lot of money for an image. Insured/registered mail to/from PCGS and CAC, plus the TrueView and "re-CAC" fees... >>
I agree with you there! I had a couple coins I ended up sending to Becoka...much cheaper and I'm very excited for the results!
