"GEM Original" roll of 1943-S steel cents?

Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me, but based on the pictures, this looks more like a put-together AU-UNC roll, definitely not "GEM" or "original." What do you think?

Some 1943 rolls are spotted with zinc oxide and have no nice coins. This might be one of those rolls.

I've seen others that look great but a roll of nice 43-S would cost more than that roll.

They all look equally bad, so it may be original and not put-together, but absolutely NOT GEM... The one very dark coin looks like an end toner.
