Fast Delivery from the Mint!

CocoinutCocoinut Posts: 2,512 ✭✭✭✭✭
I've ordered coins from the mint since 1968, and this is the fastest delivery I've ever had. I ordered a Louisa Adams first spouse ½ oz. unc. gold coin on June 30, and it arrived today (July 3). It was 74 hours from order time to delivery. Has anyone here had faster service?

The latest sales figures I've seen for the unc. coin show it at 4,223 (or 4,233). I can't say I'm a great fan of the design, but any coin with sales of under 5,000 is very tempting. When the economy improves, these could be winners. I just hope the mint didn't strike 10,000, and is holding on to them until they decide to clean out the warehouse at some point inthe future.

Don't take any tests for awhile....
(I think your guessing is wrong....I think the mint still has a lot to do and this is only a slow moment for them on an unpopular product, which is why it was quick)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • In my short time ordering from the Mint I have never had but laser fast shipments.

The first few months of this year the shipping times in most cases were horrible.

Either Pitney Bowers figured out the Mint's warehousing system or else the Mint has achieved shortened delievery time by reducing time spent on quality control.
