how to ship partial vintage set?

I sold a partial set of nm/m '71 basketball (+ or - 200 cards). half are in sheets in a binder, other half are in CS1s. whats my best option? put them all in sheets and ship the binder in a box? put them all in bricks of 50? put them 2 or 5 to a cardsaver and ship that way?

  • 2 or 5 to a cardsaver sounds like a bad idea . I would put them in sheets in a binder and wrap it in bubble wrap and ship that way

As a buyer, I don't like getting multiple cards in a single card saver. I would ship them as is, half and half, safely packaged so they don't move around. Wrap the sheets, not the binder, if you go that route.

    Yup.

Never pleasant to get multiple cards in a single CS.

One of the Priority boxes holds a large/fat binder.

I received 1971 football from the guy moving to Sweden. HANDY***. There were multiple cards in card savers and they were almost all ruined. He had to be threatened by another board member just to make good on his deals. I kept the board updated all along the way. He thought he would send me ruined cards to rub it in my face. He did refund the money; but denied the multiple cards in card savers and said the cards were all NM-MT and mint. It was my worst deal ever on these boards. I can't believe he actually has the "stones" to still post here.

A couple of days ago I received some cards in the mail that had 3-4 cards in one card saver and they were shipped in a white envelope with a NAPA return address.

What used to be some very nice NM-MT 71 baseball cards are now VG's at best. A real shame that they were cared for all these years to have some *&^hole ruin them in shipping.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

  • don't double stuff, save that for the porn movie. send it in a large, flat rate priority box, with signature confirmation, fully insured.
  • My question is why are people so cheap they can't put all in CS's to send. CS's don't cost all that much.

While I certainly agree placing more than one card in a CS is a bad idea, does it always have to come down to money or folks being cheap? It's just a played out record with you. There are other secure ways to ship sets and use the resources one has available.
