I've seen: Ingot, bar, card, rectangle, flat, piece of bullion, block, brick, square, loaf....
Round, coin, token, strike, circle, slug....
shot, balls, slag, grain, nuggets...

I don't even pretend to understand the market for silver "shot". There's a reason coinage helped to begin the modern era of human development and trade. Just as there was a reason private issue coinage became popular prior to the founding of the San Francisco mint, and US coinage became the vehicle for transactions going forward.
Gold dust was a nuisance. Impractical for anything other than the smallest transactions, questionable purity, undefined weight. Why would silver investors want to devolve?
