I need to purchase a top of the line scale to weigh up to 1oz. Any recommendations? Thanks!

    how accurate?

    +/- 0.0001 grams?

    how portable?

stick in poscket and carry to pawn shop or keep in permanent place so can be sight leveled?

    how expensive?

top of line for $20 or for $2K ?

You need to specify the low end and how many decimals you want to read out. Also the accuracy of which you want to measure. You can get a "top of the line" analytical scale that reads out 4 decimal places (0.0001 g) and needs to be placed on a vibration table and be free from air currents. But my guess is that you want something a little less than that. Look into the Mettler Toledo line of scales.

Try police auctions for scales used in drug busts, should be adequate for your needs. A 0.1gm readout should be OK for general purpose use.
Also a .01 gm readout starts to be sensitive to air currents and light table jaring. As your scale's uncertainty's measurement error spec. gets smaller so does the cost of an even more accurate (than your scale spec.) calibration weight for a proper calibration.
