Unfortunately, given the way the Congress and Obama are deficit spending right now, the US dollar could follow the Zimbabwe dollar.

A US Dollar will always be a US Dollar.

Of course bread might go up to 150 dollars

Here is what I heared a long time ago about saving the American Dollar. First the gov prints brand
new bills but they are to be a totally different color than what we use now. Then they give everybody
6 months to trade their old greenbacks in for the New Money. Then after 6 months the old money ain't
no good no more. The catch is that we you trade for the new dough you have got to PROVE where you
got the old from. Hence all the stolen, drug, terrorist, and just plain money that was gotten by ill gotten
    ways will not be traded.

Ya think that will bring out the crooks and shady people??

That'll never happen. The congrossmen and sinators in Washington would have to prove where their money came from.

Just get up bright and early and get to work. There is hope on the horizon.

Bank of America (BAC) said it will accept California's IOUs on a limited basis through July 10th.
Coins are still collectible image It's BAC before CAC, except after ACK image

Bear, I am with you, just waiting for the final part of the jigsaw to fall into place, the confiscation of gold just like FDR. That will indicate the total collapse of the Dollar in international trade.

That is why the paper $1 must be kept. Dump the dollar coin (it just does not go well with dump). We may all be glad the paper was kept.

According to a certain cataloguer for Stack's, once upon a time King Farouk was nightclubbing in Manhattan when he paused to refresh himself. At an inopportune moment, he discovered that his stall was utterly lacking in toilet paper.

Speaking over the wall to his neighbor, he asked if the neighbor would kindly pass him some of his tp. The neighbor said that he was sorry, but that there was only enough tp for himself.

After a moment's silence, His Majesty asked the neighbor: "Do you happen to have change for a hundred?"

Right now my present country, Ukraine, is outdoing the USA in currency depreciation. When I came in May the currency was at 7:$1 now it is at 8:$1 and this despite the finance minister stating weeks ago that the currency was stabilising. Euros anyone?
