Anyone with access to wire service

I believe it is called tele type and no it is not teletrade. I have a dealer friend who subscribes to this wire service and I believe he calls it tele type. He bought a few things off of it before for me and right now he is out of town for 10 days for the 4th of July holiday. I want him to check prices for me for log cabin penny boxes and I can't have him check until he gets back. If anyone has access to this wire service can you please post what log cabin boxes are being offered at for the P's and D's. Again it is not teletrade, but some kind of wire service that is pretty prevalent amongst dealers. thanks

teletype is an unbelieveably old way of sending text. the machines were like electric typewriters.

With the advent of the internet, I can't see anyone using them anymore.

are you sure he isn't running into the back to chack eBay and just telling you he's checking the teletype?

I know of a dealer in Michigan that still puts in his phonebook advert that he is the oldest teletype dealer in the state. He has been dealing coins since 1963. He probably never progressed beyond teletype either. Non of that newfangled nonsense for him.
