It's nearly Fourth of July weekend--let's see your favorite Patriots cards. Here's one of mine: a 1960 Fleer AFL team decal showing Pat Patriot.

The Patriots will bring back Pat Patriot a few times this year. They will wear 1963 throwback uniforms in four games in honor of the 50th anniversary of the AFL. Here's a look at the helmet and white jersey they will use.

This is my all time favorite card, a custom design made for me by Doran ( Heritageaddict ) As you prolly know it mimics the 1952 Bowman Sammy Baugh design ( my other favorite )

Gino Rookie card. Highest scoring player in AFL history.
I'd like to see him make the HOF one day, but I doubt he ever will.

Good stuff. Since I collect only vintage football, I don't recognize some of these things. Is the shirtless Brady a card? How about the top Clara Barton entry? Even the 2000 Bowman Brady I don't recognize--is that a rookie card?

Love the pose on the Cappelletti card. He looks as inflexible as I am, though--I wonder if he couldn't straighten his knee?

That Addison is definitely a beauty. It's funny how you sometimes don't notice how vivid a card is until you single it out. His RW&B uni is really sharp--I bet he hated to get it dirty.

I have to say, I prefer Pat Patriot over the Alien on the current Pats helmets. What do the Pats fans think--Perkdog?

Mike I prefer Pat the Patriot hands down over the modern alien version, my favorite unis are the Old Red Shirts with White pants.

However their current uniforms are much better than the ones they first changed over to back in the early to mid 1990's. .

From the Uni Watch blog, here's a picture of the Patriots' original 1960 helmet, the original Pat Patriot cartoon, and Pat cleaned up and turned into a helmet logo.
