Did you know that there was a contest back in the '30s to give SPAM it's name? Probably. That is fairly common knowledge.

But what isn't very common knowledge is the runner-up name of that contest. BRUNCH. It was almost called "Brunch".

We almost lost a perfectly good word to that canned meat product. It was close.
