I would like to say thank you BWRC

I recently had the pleasure of picking up two widgets from Mr. Wagner. I would like to say it was a very professional transaction and I look forward to doing more business in the future. I do not have any good pictures of the new acquisitions but Brian is more than welcome to post the images he took of the two coins.

Once again. Thank you very much for the coins as well as the Flynn book on MPL's.

    Thank you ACactions!

You were also a pleasure to deal with.

Here is one of the coins that were purchased, a nice target toned 1914 MPL cent. This image was taken prior to me buffing up the holder so the coin will now look better in future photographs.

Also purchased was a 1911 PCGS PR65BN with some nice colors. My image of this coin was subpar so I will refrain from posting it but I know the buyer has someone in mind to shoot this coin and can post a better shot at a latter date.

  • The 14 is awesome. It is the latter die state hence it has the die marking between the chin and the 1. The target tone is colorful and very lustruous- Honestly, a little suprised it is not in a 65 holder but very happy with the coin.

The 1911 is from worn dies so it is more satiny than a normal MPL. It is also a later die state coin- It is very colorful- Exhibiting some maroons, reds, and light green hues-

Once I get the 1916 I will have the set imaged together.

Very nice pickups. The '14 is a killer. It not only looks like 65, but has to be awful close to RB. Congrats and good luck on the '16. I want to see the whole set.image
  • That 15 is the lone exile isn't Robec... The coin just looks like it does not belong- I am going to have to trade it for a 64BN- Trade the 63 and a couple $$... I will see what I can get done. I want to get the 16 first .. I think

For a 63, the 1915 is very nice. Very clean with a nice woodgrain finish. It certainly isn't struck as well as the 1914, nor does it have the color.

  • Hell, Robec go ahead and post them all.. Then I can see them all together...

These may not be the best choices, but in my haste to get these up, here are my picks for your 1912 and 1913.

    Very nice.

Your set is coming along nicely.

That 12 is a GEM all day long and the "cameo" effect on the 13 is special.

    Nice pics Bob!

  • ACactions-

Nice job! You've connected with a real MPL expert, and quite the MPL photographer as well, and are going to have a great time putting this set together. Best of luck to you.

Excuse me but I do not think the terms 'widget" and MPL's should be used in the same sentence.image
