Agreed to pay Auctiva $2.95 per month

Are there better alternatives? I thought it was worth paying for at least a month just to prevent any disruption in my eBay listings.

  • I like the look of the page and decided to keep Auctiva. I went for the unlimited for $9.95/mo since I usually have 20-30 listings/mo.

I figured at 30 listings/mo it comes to 33 cents each, I can pay PayPal more than the $9.95 on just one listing and I get minimal benefit from that expense.

Some pay 33 cents for a shipping envelope and don't think twice about it....choose your poison I guess

So you can help it become part of the fleaBay empire ala payPoo.

Don't have to pay eBay for extra photos or to schedule listings. Ability to use large photos.

Just use html with photobucket, no cost for large pics and as many as you want per auction listing

I pay less than $10 a month for my own web hosting service. I could put several gigabytes of photos there if I wanted to, and embed images from that site.

    In additition to CoinZip?

Must admit, I think CZ is the best alt to the bay among many that have tried. I still hold out hope that the tipping point arrives and CZ takes off. ebay is for generalists with rules that often don't make sense in specific areas. As a specialty site, CZ really delivers! I just need to practice what I preach....image

Amen...I use image cave, which I like better than photobucket ...it's very fast, and bidders don't have to click on the pics to make them larger

Just checked out Webstore. If I pay via Paypal and don't receive my item do I have any recourse through Paypal or is that only for Ebay?

Any time you pay with paypal or any other credit card you have buyer protection. You can file a claim on paypal.

I hate Auctiva and their cousins -- full of clutter, and I certainly would not pay for it. I really can't stand when sellers add the onerous Auctiva check out.

You can use your own html template and link an unlmited number of photos. Google "Ebay auction templates" and you will find several nice html listing templates for free.

I try not to bid on anything using Auctiva. I have a PayPal account and I don't like them having all my info much less another system within Ebay like this. It's a hassel to me as a buyer having to fill out all the stuff already contained in PayPal JMO.

I agree -- it's like having to check out twice and take five times as long -- a total PITA.
