    1300-1499: Late Medieval Period
    1500-1800: Early Modern Period

    Flogging would be in keeping with the periods of the coins in question!image

    If either Merlin or Arthur existed they would probably have lived in the Dark Ages around 450 to 600 AD. The two characters weren't merged into one legend till the early Middle Ages.


    Pedantry over, lovely coins and I DO enjoy the BBC Merlin series. though I HATE the latest BBC Robin Hood
