'69 Mantle PSA 7 Review question

I just bought this PSA 7 Mantle for the '69 set I'm building. I paid well below average VCP and it was the lowest PSA 7 price paid to date, but it was obviously due to the centering. I now have it in hand and as some of you agreed, the original submitter probably asked for no qualifiers as the rest of the card is immaculate. My question is this:
Would you get it reviewed for a 9(OC) holder? I called and asked and the person at PSA said to just send it on a separate review submission with minimum grade accepted as 9(OC). I would definitely want it in a straight 7 as oppose to 8(OC) right? Thoughts.

9 (oc) or 7. When was it submitted, may be a 7.5 candidate?

I would rather have it in a 9 (OC) slab, if it would make it.
The centering barks, so it may not. Measure it and see.

An 8 (OC) would not help you.

    truth b known,

of all cards to have o/c, mantle's last card should still put a little change in your pocket!

if that was a WL version, you wouldn't care about 9 o/c status or not, but w/ normal version i understand your concerns.

IMHO 9 o/c is a grade psa (rarely) gives out anymore, except for miniduff's '75 mini's. (heheh)

  • For registry purposes, it wouldn't make a difference. If it's only for a personal collection, does it really matter what the label says?

Does anyone have a VCP for this card in 8(OC) or 9(OC) ?

I don't think VCP shows qualified cards.

    Leave it as it is.

I also agree a 9OC would be better on this card.

You would know better than me seeing as you are building the set, however, imo the centering isn't too bad and doesn't detract from the overall eye appeal. I thought the '69's were pretty tough on centering?
