Here's one

I'm pretty sure this coin is not worth $6 + $8 + tax + ship.

Filler for someone filling holes in a coin album.

I suspect someone thought it was an 1885 when they submitted it.

Maybe it was an 1886 hole filler? that was realy an 1898.

If it sells for $6 it's amazing.
(LOL after I saw the listing)

Yup. It is one of the key dates in the series. I would rather look at an empty hole in my album than this POS but to each his own.

This one reminds me of the recent thread about dreck. Looks to me like a coin that should meet the smelter and be put out of its misery.

HAH! Let me guess: That morgan with the vomit-toning had the little "rainbow" icon next to it, right?

    Awful.

Both coins should be spent on bubble gum.

Teletrade has always had a reputation as a dumping ground used by dealers trying to unload crap they couldn't otherwise sell. The examples discussed here fall into that category.

It's a lot easier for me to understand someone sending it in for slabbing hoping for an 1885 or an 1886 than to understand someone paying around $20 (with juice and shipping) for a POS example of a common date. Buying plastic, maybe? (But why, for an ANACS "details" graded problem coin?)
