Reason #11 Sellers should be able to leave buyer Feedback

Auction closed june 18th Cal Ripken Topps Rookie
Buyer emails and is unhappy with the card because it has corner damage not seen in the scan.

My response was to return the card for a full refund because sometimes we do goof or mis back damage or something like that.

Now it gets interesting -- Please compare the card I sold and sent to the card I received back

The dot on the front under the E in Schneider -- and the various fibers on the back show it is not the same card.

The buyer has private feedback (wonder why)-- I am waiting on his response before I post his user name.

It is sad what some will do for a few bucks. I would like to know who this is so I never deal with him.

If you post his username, the thread is informative. If you don't, it's just whining.

I believe I have been in your shop to buy supplies when I was at UVA...do you have a shop?

Not even close to the same card.

Idiots who do crap like this should have something painful happen back to them.

    I got an idea .

why not place a void sticker on the card saver . They can check the card out when they receive it and able for refund if the void sticker is not tempered
    VOID STICKER

once they remove the sticker and took the card out, not refundable.

Im suprised you would sell that card raw and not get it graded, unless there is a wrinkle or back damage that card looks awesome.

Sorry that your getting hosed though, the buyer is a dirtbag,

In a non-PayPal world, that would work fine. PP won't
    buy it.

It's hard to win a PP SNAD claim on a raw card, unless you
can convince a PP supervisor that a switch was made.

    ...............

One thing you can do is to PROMINENTLY display in your listing:

"EBAYers With Private FB: Your Bid Will Be Cancelled As Unwelcome, Unless You Contact Me Before Bidding."

If a PFB violates your term, you can then cancel his bid, file an
unwelcome bidder complaint, and usually win.

Absolutely 2 different cards....I like the idea of placing some sort of sticker/tape over the top of the toploader to discourage this type of behavior....As Storm pointed out, it may not be enough win a PP claim, but hopefully it may cause the potential thief to second guess their dishonest intentions (Of course, this is just my initial thought/reaction to this unfortunate situation). Good luck with a positive resolution and please PM the username....my BBL is begging for a new addition. image

This is why I am leery of 0 or private feedback bidders.

If I sold someone a PSA 9 Ripken and tried to return a different PSA 9 Ripken, is Paypal smart enough to check the serial numbers?

PS - This reminds me of the dude who purchased a PSA graded card from me....told me it was fake because it didnt fit snug in the holder....cracked it out of its case.....wanted to send it back, yet sent back empty PSA slabs......thank heavans I opened the package in front of a USPS postal emploee!!!......EBay is cultivating a whole new breed of bidder.....

dioworld hit it right on the head. Place a void if tampered with seal on the top loader. If they remove the card, then no returns accepted. Of course since this was on ebay, and paypal loves siding with the buyer, this could cause a problem. Man I hate ebay and Paypal now.........

The first thing I noticed is the line above the E in "FUTURE STARS"

That is not the same. I would like to know who the buyer was also so I can block him.
